Welcome to my new blog!

Thanks for joining me!

I’ve been blogging about life and running for about 2 years; but when I started I didn’t really know what I was doing. To be honest, I probably still don’t.

But, in an effort to reignite my passion for all things running, I wanted to shift gears a bit and try a new blogging site in hopes that it will get the creative juices flowing again!

A quick rundown of some facts about me in case you are new or just need a refresher:

  • I’m a 35 year old wife, accountant, dog mom of 2 goldendoodles and lover of wine
  • I didn’t run much until after high school and even now, I consider myself average
  • I reside in Northern California and am 2 hours from the beach, 2 hours from San Francisco and 2 hours from Lake Tahoe. I’ve got it pretty good location wise.
  • I’m a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan and most of our vacations revolve around them and/or running. In fact, my first marathon was in Cincinnati at the Flying Pig because my husband wanted to see the Giants play at that ballpark and it aligned with my training schedule.
  • I’ve ran hundreds of events at the 5k, 10k and half marathon level and completed 3 marathons so far.
  • My next goal is to venture out into the ultra running distance starting with a 50k in March and then work on lowering my road marathon time.
  • Running in my stress relief, my go to exercise and just an all around great way for me to push myself to reach new goals and challenge my mental strength.

My goal with this blog is to tell you about some of my favorite things, review events I’ve attended and share my running achievements and struggles. I consider myself an average runner with above average goals. I want to explore what I am capable of, push myself past my comfort zone and hopefully learn from each of you as well. The running community is amazing and the miles don’t seem quite as long with running friends by your side.

Happy Running! Until next time.

Janelle
